Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred, strong skill set required License: Active RN License (MD or Compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM, STABLE Must-Have: First-time travelers accepted 2 years of experience preferred but will consider 1 year with strong experience/skill set COVID-19 vaccine not required Flu vaccine required, no exemptions Description: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will work night shifts. The nurse will be responsible for the care of patients in labor and delivery. They will provide care to neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Attendance is required every other weekend and during holidays as scheduled. The nurse may float within the specialty and to mother/baby as needed. There is no on-call requirement. All requests for time off need to be submitted upfront with no changes allowed post-offer. The nursing staff will care for patients with complex needs. They will work in a community hospital setting with a focus on quality patient care. The unit typically handles a high volume of deliveries each month. All staff are required to work in all areas of the department as needed. Epic is the charting system used in the unit. Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills including administration of medications and anesthesia. Newborn care, maternal health, and emergency interventions are key responsibilities. Communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams are essential. Nurses will support patients and families through the labor and delivery process. The goal is to provide safe and effective care to all patients.
