Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Active RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM, NIH, CPI; STABLE preferred Must-Have: NCC C-EFM certification in-hand at the time of submission Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for night shifts. 36 hours per week required. We prefer candidates with 2 years of experience, but will consider those with 1 year if they have a strong skill set. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must work in all areas of the department. Staff should be trained for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) or be comfortable working in Mother-Baby/Labor and Delivery. Candidates should be able to circulate and assist with deliveries. Epic is the charting system in use. The hospital performs approximately 50 to 60 deliveries a month. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and on holidays as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and to Mother-Baby/Postpartum departments may be required. Regular requests for time off should be made upfront, as changes will not be accepted post-offer. References are required from recent employers. Candidates must possess skills related to newborn assessment, labor support, and postpartum care. Candidates should have experience with administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, and using electronic fetal monitoring equipment. Additional qualifications may include the ability to teach parents about infant care and breastfeeding support.
