Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of experience in high-risk obstetrics License: IL License required upon submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, NIHSS Must-Have: High-risk (level 3) OB experience Certifications in AWHONN Advanced preferred Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: Position requires a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. Shifts are 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No block scheduling or call requirements. Weekend requirement is every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Request for time off (RTO) is limited to five days maximum, with no more than two consecutive days off. No time off is permitted during holidays, the day before holidays, or weekends. Mandatory floating is required based on facility needs, which may involve floating to various units within a 50-mile radius. This position involves assisting with high-risk deliveries, circulating for C-sections, and managing care for obstetrical patients. Nurses are expected to maintain skills in areas such as insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, and triage of patients. Charting will be done using a specified electronic system. Candidates must provide two professional references from their most recent employers. One reference should be from the candidate's most recent employer. All requirements must be met timely to avoid the risk of not continuing the assignment.
