Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Provide comprehensive care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor maternal and neonatal health, interpreting vital signs and responding to complications
- Administer medications and support pain management methods
- Educate and support patients and their families during all stages of childbirth and recovery
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies
- Respond promptly to emergencies and complications
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an LDRP or Labor and Delivery setting
