Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: RN License Required Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Experience with charting system (Epic) is required. Previous charge experience preferred. Description: The position involves providing care in a labor and delivery setting. Nurses will be expected to handle both labor and postpartum patients. The patient ratio is 1:1 during active labor and 3:1 for postpartum. Nurses may float between units based on needs. Weekend shifts will be required, either every other or every third weekend. No on-call duty is required. Travelers may float to other facilities if necessary. A vehicle is essential for commuting. The unit serves level II maternity and has a level I nursery. Special procedures include resuscitation and managing various high-risk situations. Experience in adult cardiac support and postpartum care is beneficial. The facility admits patients with a range of conditions, including gestational hypertension. Nurses will assist in various procedures, including labor management and postpartum education. A comprehensive understanding of maternal and neonatal care protocols is expected.
