The nurse will work night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The role includes caring for patients in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages. The nurse will be expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:2, with some circumstances allowing up to 4:1. The position requires the ability to float to other units within the service line as needed. On-call duty may be required based on unit needs. This role involves handling high-risk cases and performing special procedures such as inductions and C-sections. Nurses must demonstrate proficiency in various clinical skills, including administration of medications and monitoring vital signs. The work environment contains an interdisciplinary support structure, including teams in therapy, radiology, and social services.
