Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,383 per week in Austin, TX

Job Title: RN - Antepartum/Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP Must-Have: Previous Labor and Delivery or Antepartum experience Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Antepartum/Labor and Delivery unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role will involve utilizing labor and delivery RNs to work in their Antepartum unit. The position requires rotating weekends and nights with no call. The unit has a total of 24 beds. There are 26 staff members, including 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 clerk during the day. No Patient Care Technicians are available at night. Patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 depending on acuity. Equipment utilized includes EMR Meditech and CPN. Permanent positions are available on the unit. The best candidates will possess strong teamwork and communication skills. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs. Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. Candidates should be team-oriented and have good communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced staff in a supportive environment.
