The nurse should be proficient in managing high-risk deliveries and assisting with cesarean sections. Key responsibilities include maintaining central lines, administering anticoagulation therapy, and interpreting fetal heart rate patterns. Candidates should be capable of providing discharge teaching to parents and assessing newborns, including monitoring for hypoglycemia.
