Join our dedicated team as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse at MVHS-Wynn in Utica, New York. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive care within a dynamic obstetric unit.
The unit features 18 beds, including Triage, Antepartum, L&D, Recovery, and dedicated Operating Rooms for C-sections. You will care for a diverse patient population encompassing ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum obstetric patients, as well as GYN patients and newborns.
This position requires adaptability, including the ability to float as needed within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum obstetric patients.
Care for GYN patients and newborns.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Operate and monitor specialized equipment relevant to labor and delivery.
Float to other units as required by facility needs.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 4-5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery.
Prior travel nursing experience is required.
Proficiency with EPIC/Stork EMR system.
