- Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Perform vaginal examinations and assess labor progress.
- Circulate and assist during cesarean sections, including patient recovery following spinal anesthesia.
- Monitor and document maternal and fetal conditions, vital signs, and labor progress.
- Identify and intervene promptly in life-threatening or emergent obstetric situations.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.
- Utilize lifts and assistive devices for safe patient handling.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Demonstrate leadership through effective prioritization, delegation, and teamwork.
