The unit consists of 17 beds and is staffed by 56 personnel. Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 RNs, and 1 OB scrub tech. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 RNs, and 1 OB scrub tech. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3, which may vary with patient acuity. Equipment used includes EFM systems, Doppler, and Novii, with Meditech/CPN for EMR. Common procedures performed include labor, C-section, PIT administration, magnesium drips, intrauterine resuscitation, and cerclage placement. Ideal candidates will possess strong teamwork and communication skills. Exceptional patient experience skills are essential for this unit.
