# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per month required; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Work in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed Obstetrics Emergency Department
• Support personalized birth experiences using a laborist team model with 24/7 in-house midwife coverage and dedicated CRNA on site
• Practice couplet care in postpartum to promote bonding and breastfeeding with donor milk availability when needed
• Access to an 8-bed Level II NICU with dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage 24/7
• Utilize CPN and Meditech documentation systems
• HCA Unit of Distinction 2021 recipient and TIPQC Pilot Hospital for NTSV and Team Birth initiatives

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Fetal monitoring certification
• Experience with advanced procedures including circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage protocols (JADA system), and nitrous oxide
• Advanced skills in Spinning Babies and STABLE preferred
• Commitment to supporting patient choice and promoting vaginal birth opportunities
