Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Virginia

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; AWHONN staffing ratios (1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 depending on acuity); 12-hour shifts; 24/7 Hospitalist, Midwife, Anesthesia, and Neonatologist support on-site

Highlights:

• 16-bed Labor, Delivery, and Recovery unit with 3 Operating Rooms, 3 Triage rooms, and 3 Recovery rooms
• Advanced maternal care technology including Novii monitors, iMobile systems, headsets, pass-through skin-to-skin C-section drapes, deep soaker tubs, light therapy, and aromatherapy
• EMR systems: CPN and Meditech
• Comprehensive clinical experience: labor support, delivery, recovery, triage, antepartum care, circulating for C-sections, first-hour baby care, and breastfeeding assistance
• Patient-centered care philosophy with emphasis on patient preferences and cultural diversity

Requirements:

• Current Labor & Delivery nursing experience (within previous 2 years required)
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification (current, required)
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS certifications required
• Active Virginia RN license or willingness to obtain
• Preferred: Experience at facilities with 3,000+ births per year
