Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,483 per week in Show Low, AZ

Job Title: Labor & Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - 3+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery - Proficient in fetal monitoring and managing fetal distress - Experience with C-sections - Clinical background with high-risk patients Description: The role requires working in a Labor & Delivery unit with a total of 7 L&D beds and 2 triage beds. The unit sees approximately 1-3 births per day and conducts around 830 births per year. Ratios are typically 1:2. There is support staff available on the unit, including Patient Care Technicians and Health Unit Secretaries. Nurse managers may occasionally see patients when needed. Candidates must be experienced in caring for patients with pre-eclampsia. Nurses will need strong assessment skills to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives. There may be requirements to float to other units of the hospital, typically MedSurg, if necessary. Candidates must be able to function in Labor & Delivery and couplet care. Weekend shifts of 3 shifts per 4-week schedule are required. Call is expected for one shift every 4 weeks. A Respiratory Therapist is available on the unit 24/7. An in-house pharmacy operates 24/7.
