Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor and Delivery/LDRP License: Must have a valid state RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Must-Have: - 2 years of recent experience in OB/GYN patient care, including post-operative care, antepartum care, triage care, labor and delivery care, and postpartum care. - Certifications must be current and attached to the submission. Description: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment. Appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and support for spiritual and psychosocial needs. Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. Circulates during cesarean sections and attends deliveries, assisting the physician as needed. Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients. Attends the neonatal station in the cesarean section suite and completely assesses neonates post-delivery. Participates in fetal monitoring certification classes every two years. Holds STABLE certification if offered and is certified in NRP. Identifies necessary information to communicate with physicians and patients. Candidate may be required to float to another unit depending on facility census. This will only be as helping hands or as a sitter.
