Key Responsibilities of the Travel Labor and Delivery RN:
- Provide expert, compassionate care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, and assist with pain management
- Support physicians and midwives during deliveries and emergency procedures
- Educate and emotionally support patients and families during the birthing process
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Requirements of the Travel Labor and Delivery RN:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact state)
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent L&D experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and communication abilities
