TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Saint Paul, Minnesota, 55102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in high-risk Labor and Delivery License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NRP required Must-Have: Epic experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: Position is for a high-risk Labor and Delivery RN. The nurse will work with patient ratios of 1:1. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The nurse will float within their scope to meet facility needs. Special requirements include experience in C/Births, Postpartum tubal ligation, and cerclage placement and removal. Knowledge of water birth procedures is also necessary. The facility is an acute care teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds. Daily census includes around 10 patients in labor and 6 on the antepartum unit. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams, including IV, physical therapy, and social services. Special equipment may be utilized as necessary. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults. Clinical skills required include administration of blood products, assist with high-risk delivery, and management of postpartum hemorrhage. Nurses will engage in patient assessment, support breastfeeding, and provide care for high-risk antepartum patients. Additional responsibilities encompass triaging obstetrical patients and conducting non-stress tests. Attention to detail regarding patient monitoring and documentation through electronic health records is essential. The nursing role may involve collaboration with multiple healthcare professionals. Travelers must comply with all required regulations during their assignment. This position provides an opportunity to enhance skills in a fast-paced environment.
