Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related specialty; Preferred 5 years License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Labor and Delivery experience Operating Room experience Postpartum care experience Antepartum care experience Newborn care experience Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on the patients' problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages the care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend and three out of six holidays are required. No on-call or float requirement.
