Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,545 per week in Salem, MA

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Labor and Delivery Specialty: RN Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Rotator with Night Call Hours per Shift: 12-hour shifts Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years for Labor and Delivery) Must-Have: AHA ACLS (preferred) Description: This position involves providing care in a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum environment. The clinician may rotate between day, evening, and night shifts as needed. The role encompasses Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Care, and circulating in the operating room. The patient-to-clinician ratio is 1:2-3 for evaluations, and 1:1 for active labor with specific protocols (e.g., magnesium infusion or epidural). In the Postpartum area, the ratio is 1:3-4. The unit consists of 25 total beds, including labor rooms and postpartum rooms. The average daily census is 15-25 mothers and babies. Charting is done using a specific electronic medical record system. Floating between units is not required. Rotating shifts are a part of the role, as straight day positions are not available. Continuous professional development and adherence to certification requirements are essential for this role.
