Active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license required.
Certifications:
BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required.
AWHONN certification required.
Must-Have:
Current resume reflecting recent Labor & Delivery experience.
Skills checklist specific to Labor & Delivery nursing.
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months.
Valid driver's license required.
Description:
The registered nurse will provide care in the Labor & Delivery unit.
The nurse will support patients experiencing high-risk pregnancies.
Responsibilities include managing antepartum care and assisting with C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
The nurse will float across multiple campuses as needed.
Experience in post-partum and mother-baby care is preferred.
Candidates must possess AWHONN intermediate or advanced EFM certification.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system is essential.
The role requires availability to work holidays and weekends as scheduled.
The nurse will maintain a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2.
The unit typically sees 150 deliveries per month.
Hospital scrubs will be provided.
