Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery for a 13-week assignment at Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown, Montana.

This vital role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing labor progression, assisting with deliveries, and responding to obstetric emergencies. The successful candidate will also provide essential postpartum education and support.

The L&D RN plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care, promoting a positive birth experience, and achieving optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, interpreting fetal monitoring strips accurately.
• Manage labor progression and assist with vaginal and operative deliveries.
• Administer medications and perform cervical exams within the scope of practice.
• Respond promptly and effectively to obstetric emergencies.
• Provide comprehensive postpartum education and support to new mothers.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics patients.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families during the birthing process.
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in both Labor & Delivery settings.
