Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,597 per week in Riverside, CA

Ability to provide couplet care if floated. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The unit consists of 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation rooms, 2 OB PACU, and 2 ORs. There are 79 staff members on the unit. The day shift is comprised of 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Staff Nurses, and 2 OB Techs. The night shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Staff Nurses, and 2 OB Techs. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on the circumstances. Equipment used includes GE fetal monitoring systems. The electronic medical record systems utilized are CPN and Meditech. Typical procedures performed include NST, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuvers. The ideal candidate should thrive in an organized chaotic environment. Candidates with over 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, particularly those with transition nurse or baby catching experience, will be prioritized. Floating may occur to the postpartum unit for couplet care. Scrub color is designated by hospital infant security standards. Weekend and on-call shifts may be required based on unit needs.
