Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Illinois license or confirmation of application process initiated Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years experience in Labor and Delivery - Proficient in care of high-risk OB patients - Completion of Advanced AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring class - Experience with Magnesium and Insulin drips - Ability to circulate a cesarean section and recover patients in PACU - Proficient in baby care for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing. The ideal candidate should be proficient in caring for high-risk obstetric patients. Candidates must have completed the Advanced AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring class. The role requires the ability to manage Magnesium and Insulin drips as well as circulate cesarean sections and recover patients in PACU. Proficiency in newborn care during both vaginal and cesarean deliveries is essential. The shift consists of 12-hour night shifts. The Registered Nurse will be required to adhere to established nursing ratios and guidelines. Floating to Postpartum and Antepartum units may be required.
