Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,615 per week in Colorado Springs, CO

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in high-risk Labor and Delivery License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Ability to circulate C-Sections in the OR Description: The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit. This position requires a commitment to a 12-hour night shift schedule. Clinicians will float to the postpartum unit as needed. The nurse will be expected to provide care for a variety of labor and delivery cases. Common diagnoses include labor, cesarean sections, pre-eclampsia, and other antepartum complications. RN responsibilities will include titrating drips, such as oxytocin and magnesium sulfate. Nurses are required to read their own fetal monitor strips. There are surgical techs available on the unit to assist the nursing staff. The charge nurse does not take an assignment. Nurses need to be flexible and able to cover shifts as necessary. Self-scheduling is allowed; however, travelers may be required to fill in as needed. Weekend and holiday work is a requirement of this position. There is an 18-hour on-call commitment every six weeks. The organization follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios whenever possible. All staff must be able to float within an assigned zone in case of extreme need. EPIC is the utilized charting system. Candidates should be prepared for a robust onboarding experience. The unit supports a high volume of births on a monthly basis.
