Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyze the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
