Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty License: Pending License accepted Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: First-timers accepted Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Description: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-timers are accepted. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are not accepted beyond a 100-mile radius. Candidates must have an active license or apply for a pending license through the appropriate channels. The client may cancel up to 3 shifts for any assigned candidate without penalty. On-call hours do not count toward guaranteed minimum hours. The unit follows national guidelines for staffing and patient ratios. The travel nurse may be expected to float to antepartum and postpartum units. Candidates should be prepared to assist with complex and high-acuity patients. Specialized equipment will not be used by travel nurses. A supervisor reference is required at the time of submission. Candidates will need to undergo a background check that includes fingerprinting. If fingerprints are not received by the compliance file due date, candidates will be pushed back at least one week. Candidates require clear communication regarding any vacation plans between the sign date and the start date.
