The role requires administering care to expectant mothers and newborns. Candidates must have experience with basic and intermediate fetal monitoring. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. BLS and NRP certifications are required prior to submission. Every other weekend coverage is mandatory. Skills required include assisting with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries. Candidates must be familiar with postpartum care and complications like hemorrhage and pre-eclampsia. The nurse will monitor fetal heart rates and implement interventions as needed.
