Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,692 per week in Ketchum, ID

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Women's Services Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), weekends as needed Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Strong Labor and Delivery experience, some recent experience in Postpartum or Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum (LDRP) is preferred. Description: This position is for an RN specializing in Women's Services, specifically in Labor and Delivery. The unit operates with a secure environment, providing care for laboring and postpartum patients. The nurse will be responsible for care of well baby and well mom, managing high-risk and critical patients, and following protocols for hypertensive crises and hemorrhage. RNs will care for both mother and baby in the initial hours after birth. Experience with newborn stabilization is essential. RNs are expected to work autonomously and independently, especially during nights and weekends. Titration of medications such as Magnesium and Pitocin is required. There are 2 RN staff members on each shift. Charge nurses are typically available to provide support. Shared support from hospitalists and pediatricians is available during the day. Anesthesia services are on call after hours with a 30-minute response time. The facility uses an EFM system for monitoring. Staff participates in self-scheduling, ensuring equitable distribution of weekend and holiday requirements among core staff. RNs may be required to float and assist with safety tasks, focusing on patient safety. The dress code includes surgical scrubs, with flexibility for personal scrubs unless in delivery.
