Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,696 per week in Frisco, CO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) STABLE Certification Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery Description: Hiring Process includes a candidate interview with the clinical team. Unit consists of 8 Bed LDRP with 1 OR suite for C-sections. Approximately 35 deliveries occur each month. AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios are followed. RNs are required to titrate drips, including Oxytocin and occasionally magnesium sulfate. Charge nurse takes an assignment. There is 1 OB tech on each shift. An OB/Neonatologist is not in-house 24/7. Anesthesia is only available if running epidurals. CPAP and vent equipment are available for babies awaiting transfer. RNs are required to read their own strips using Phillips monitors. Self-scheduling is allowed. A weekend requirement of 3 full weekends in a 6-week period is necessary. One full summer holiday and one full winter holiday are required. There is a call requirement of 3 shifts per 6 weeks. Floating to other units is rare. Blue scrubs are provided. Unit-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts. Client can cancel shifts according to policy. Charting system utilized is EPIC.
