  • Location: Moses Lake
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay: $2700 to $2900
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn stabilization
  • Assess maternal and fetal conditions using continuous fetal monitoring and clinical assessment skills
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and labor-induction agents as prescribed
  • Assist physicians and certified nurse midwives during vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies
  • Monitor labor progression and promptly identify changes requiring medical intervention
  • Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Support patients emotionally throughout labor while advocating for safe, patient-centered care
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and Labor & Delivery best practices
  • Deliver compassionate, family-centered care while ensuring the highest standards of maternal and newborn health
Requirements
  • Active Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
  • Experience with high-risk pregnancies, labor induction, cesarean deliveries, and obstetric emergencies preferred
  • Strong maternal assessment, fetal monitoring, and emergency response skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional maternal and newborn care
