Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,727 per week in Seattle, WA

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in labor and delivery License: Active nursing license Certifications: BLS and NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: - Experience in labor and delivery - Epic experience - Ability to work weekends Description: This position requires a registered nurse specialized in labor and delivery. The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult women of childbearing age. The unit includes 7 labor beds, 3 triage rooms, 2 PACU, and 16 mother-baby beds. The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and provide lactation support. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates and performing sterile vaginal exams. The nurse will administer medications, including magnesium sulfate and pitocin. Support for multiple births and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is expected. The nurse will participate in discharge teaching for parents. Weekend work is required unless indicated otherwise in the schedule. Floating within the hospital may be necessary, but not to sister facilities. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services. This role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:1. Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is essential. Candidates should be prepared for varying census levels that may affect staffing. This position does not have an on-call requirement. Travelers must adhere to a one-week maximum for requested time off.
