Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Hospital Fire and Life Safety certification: Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with a team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
