Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,758 per week in Fullerton, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred, can consider 1.5 years depending on experience. License: Valid state license required. Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP. Must-Have: Expert experience with sterile vaginal exams, independent performance without supervision. Description: We are seeking a registered nurse with expertise in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must have the ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently. AWHONN certification is required to meet the hard stop criteria. Experience with the EPIC charting system is necessary. Shifts will typically require weekend availability, exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs. The nurse will need to float to the mother-baby unit as needed. The unit experiences an average of 6-8 deliveries daily. Staff will work in a supportive environment with access to interdisciplinary support services. All tasks related to medication administration, patient assessments, and delivery assistance will be part of the role. Candidates should be equipped to handle high-risk deliveries and provide lactation support. Applicants must be prepared to commit to holiday coverage as per requirements. Flexibility is crucial in the scheduling process, and requests must be communicated upfront. Refusal to float between units may lead to termination of the assignment.
