Description:
The position involves working in an acute care hospital environment focused on Labor and Delivery.
Responsibilities include monitoring antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
The nurse will perform fetal heart monitoring and provide care for high-risk pregnancies.
The position may require circulating for C-sections and involvement in vaginal deliveries.
Postpartum care is required only if staffing necessitates it.
The nurse will also assist with couplet care for newborn and maternal care.
The staffing model includes 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor and delivery rooms, and 3 triage rooms.
The hospital averages 200-300 deliveries each month, emphasizing the importance of confidentiality for all patients.
There is no on-call requirement, but the nurse may float to postpartum as necessary.
This role requires experience with a patient ratio common to labor and delivery settings.
All travelers should expect to float between facilities as needed.

Candidates must have experience charting in an electronic medical record system.
