Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required Must-Have: EPIC experience required Floating required to other areas as needed Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or patient situations. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
