Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,940 per week in Santa Cruz, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: - Advanced Fetal Monitoring - BLS Certification - COVID Vaccine Required - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: - BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications - Experience in Labor and Delivery - Ability to float to Mother-Baby unit Description: Unit consists of 8 rooms, with the capability to expand to 10 rooms. Nurse to patient ratios are 1 to 1 or 1 to 3. Charting is done through Cerner and Fetal Link systems. Charge Nurse does not take patients. OB techs are available to assist and can function as nurse aides. Weekend requirement includes working every other weekend. Holidays are worked in accordance with core rotation. Scrub color is provided by the facility as ceil blue. Central fetal heart monitoring is in place. No ventilation support is available. OB/GYN Clientist or Intensivist is present on-site. IV team is available during the day. Respiratory therapy available 24/7. Pharmacy services are open 24/7. Shifts are 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7 am. Floating to Mother-Baby unit is required. Orientation includes 3 shifts specific to the unit. Common patient diagnoses include high risk, PIH, preeclampsia, addiction, preterm, and those requiring magnesium sulfate. Lactation consultants are on staff. Facility is baby-friendly with approximately 65-75 deliveries per month. Level 3 NICU is available on-site. This is a locked unit. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment duration.
