Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring, AWHONN Beginner or higher Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a facility with a minimum of 150 births per month - BLS and ACLS certifications - NRP certification - Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. Candidates should have experience in high-risk labor and delivery as well as high-risk antepartum. Experience in triage and circulating in the operating room is required. Familiarity with electronic health records is necessary. Knowledge of newborn and infant care is essential. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and float to postpartum if needed. The ideal candidate will have administration skills related to blood products and experience in high-risk delivery scenarios. Skills in various procedures such as assisting with amniocentesis, circumcision, and conducting sterile vaginal exams are expected. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in pain assessment and management, fetal heart rate monitoring, and postpartum hemorrhage management. Other necessary skills include IV management and the ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. The role will require collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care. Candidates are expected to have the ability to provide discharge teaching to parents.
