Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience
- Patient ratio experience 1:2
Description:
Start date within the next 3-5 weeks.
May consider 36 hours per week.
Required skills include administration of blood and blood products.
Amnioinfusion experience is preferred.
Experience with antepartum care is essential.
Knowledge of anticoagulation therapy is mandatory.
Must be proficient in antihypertensive administration.
Experience with antiseizure medications is required.
Familiarity with APGAR scores is necessary.
Ability to assist with circumcision and assess the post-operative site is needed.
Candidate should have experience assisting with vaginal delivery.
Knowledge of baby-friendly protocols is required.
Breastfeeding support and lactation support experience is essential.
Car seat education experience is required.
Experience with cervical cerclage is preferred.
Candidate should have experience in cesarean section delivery.
Must be able to circulate for C-sections.
Knowledge of collecting cord samples is preferred.
Experience with cord care is required.
Candidate should demonstrate couplet care skills.
Expertise in D&C procedures is necessary.
Discharge teaching to parents is a must.
Ability to draw venous blood is required.
Experience with epidural anesthesia is preferred.
Knowledge of episiotomy care is essential.
Candidate must be adept in managing postpartum hemorrhage.
Experience with pregnancy-induced hypertension is required.
Knowledge of prostaglandins is preferred.
Experience with radiant warmers and thermoregulation is essential.
Must be able to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Candidate should have recovery experience for C-sections.
Experience with reflex checks and edema assessment is preferred.
Ability to scrub for C-sections is necessary.
Knowledge of spiral electrode placement is required.
Candidate should have skills in starting and maintaining IVs.
Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams is essential.
Experience with terbutaline administration is preferred.
Knowledge of triage for obstetrical patients is required.
Experience with tubal ligation is preferred.
Candidate should be proficient in the use of external fetal monitoring.
Experience with internal fetal monitoring is required.
Expertise in the use of IUPC placement and calibration is necessary.
Vaccination administration experience is preferred.
Must have experience in vaginal delivery.
Unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments.
Daily census ranges from 1 to 5 patients.
Unit equipped with specialized equipment for maternal care.
Mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing.
