Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $2,982 per week in Eureka, CA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:00 - 16:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: California state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous Labor and Delivery experience - Charge experience - EPIC charting system experience - Ability to float to meet facility needs - Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The qualified candidate will provide care to postpartum patients. Experience with high-risk obstetrics and culturally diverse populations is preferred. RNs will circulate on cesarean sections. The average daily census will be 15-20 patients. The RN will need to manage a patient ratio of 1 to 3. Candidates should be familiar with various nursing skills including administration of blood products, amnioinfusion, and high-risk deliveries. Support for breastfeeding and new parent education will be required. RNs will be expected to conduct assessments and assist with sterile exams. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. The facility does not accept any legislative or regulatory infractions. References covering at least one year in the last three years will be required. Flexibility with scheduling and time off requests is essential. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
