Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Recent experience with EPIC and Cerner systems preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of all associates and patients. Required vaccinations are a condition of employment and must be received annually. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
