Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Labor and Delivery Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Recent experience required in L&D License: Registered Nurse licensure required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Recent experience in EPIC Description: This position involves observing, evaluating, and coordinating the care provided to patients in the Special Procedures department. You will participate in direct and indirect care activities according to organizational policies and procedures. Collect relevant data pertaining to patients' health or situations. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify specific outcomes for patients or patient situations. Connect electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and alert the physician of any changes in patient conditions. Record and analyze hemodynamic parameters and calculate relevant data. Monitor patients, analyze EKG and hemodynamic parameters, and report any condition changes to physicians. Operate computerized systems accurately and evaluate significant data and findings throughout procedures for patients of various age groups. Use specialized equipment as required for patient care. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and compassionate care. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
