Travel Nurse RN - Labor & Delivery - $3,014 per week in Fishersville, VA

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 Years Preferred License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience required - Charting system experience required - Travel experience required Description: WNTR CONTRACT: 26 Weeks PM SHIFT 7p-7a. On call required for 48 hours in a 6-week block. Combined unit that services labor and delivery (vaginal and cesarean), postpartum, antepartum, and Level II nursery. Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP. Level 2 inpatient obstetrical clientele and Level 2 NICU neonatal clientele managed. Experience with GYN/Medical overflow, antepartum patients, observational triage patients, and Mother Baby Couplet Care. Procedures associated with obstetrics include versions, induction of labor, cervical ripening, intrauterine fetal demise care, and bereavement. Involved in Cesarean sections. Staffing ratios include: 1:1 for complications or active labor. 1:3 for stable antepartum. 1:1-2 for unstable, ill antepartum. 1:3-4 for couplet care. 2:1 for delivery (one NRP for baby, one for mother). 1:2-3 for NICU Level 2 depending on condition. If floated outside of specialty, will utilize general nursing skills to assist nurses with assigned patients.
