Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Must be comfortable with both mother and newborn during delivery - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care obstetrical setting. The position requires administering medications, including blood products and antihypertensives. Duties will include assisting with vaginal deliveries and C-sections. You will be involved in triaging obstetrical patients. Pain assessment and management will be a significant part of the role. Understanding and using infusion pumps and PCA is essential. Experience in managing pregnancy-induced hypertension is required. Knowledge of implementing isolation precautions and security protocols is important. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected.
