The Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (RN L&D) provides comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal status, administering medications, assisting with labor management and delivery procedures, and providing patient education and emotional support. The RN L&D collaborates closely with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams to ensure safe, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, standards of practice, and evidence-based guidelines.
