Description:
We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery.
This position involves working night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts each week.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in labor and delivery.
BLS, NRP, and an AWHONN Intermediate certification are required.
Candidates must be willing to float to an emergency department to provide obstetric care alongside a primary RN.
The facility performs between 200 to 300 births per month, making it a busy environment.
Experience with high-risk deliveries, multiple gestation, and various obstetric complications is essential.
Candidates will be responsible for monitoring fetal heart patterns, administering medications, and assisting in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
The role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Candidates must be capable of providing comprehensive care for both mothers and newborns.
Successful applicants should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while supporting families during labor and delivery.
Responsibilities will include patient education, assessment, and postpartum care.
