Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:00 - 06:30 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid state license required, compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Must-Have: Previous experience in postpartum care preferred Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. The unit provides care for high-risk obstetric patients and serves a culturally diverse population. Nurses may circulate in cesarean sections as part of their duties. The average daily census ranges from 15 to 20 patients. The unit has a capacity of 11 rooms with 15 beds. Travelers are expected to float to meet facility needs. Candidates may be required to work on weekends to meet staffing needs. It is important to commit to working three of the five designated holidays throughout the year. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. Travelers must respond regarding any prior work experiences as a permanent employee or on a travel contract. Refusal to float may result in a termination of the assignment. Providers will need to submit monthly cell phone bills if required communication devices are not provided. Completion of modules prior to starting is necessary for compliance. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront during the application process.
