Job Title: Labor and Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License: Active state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring required Must-Have: Teaching hospital experience preferred EFM interpretation skills/experience required Description: Position for Labor and Delivery RN. Shifts available are 3x12 or 4x12 nights. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirement is to work every third weekend. On-call requirement is not applicable. Floating may be required to meet facility needs. Schedule requests should be discussed with the manager. Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction. Time off requests should be discussed with the manager. Guaranteed hours may allow for client call-offs up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment. If candidates are placed on-call instead of called off, those will count as called-off shifts. Special requirements include training in various labor and delivery procedures. Facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 562 staffed beds. Charting system used is Cerner. Daily patient census includes 15 individuals, including infants. Special procedures involve circulating for cesarean sections. Skills required include administration of various medications, assisting with vaginal delivery, and discharge teaching. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience should be 2 patients. Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Background check findings must be disclosed prior to employment. Floating between units may be required.
