Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Contract duration up to 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027.

Highlights:

• High-volume Labor & Delivery unit averaging 300+ births per month and approximately 20 births in 24 hours
• Fast-paced environment with 2:1 patient ratios; double labor assignments are common
• Full-service birthing center with obstetrical triage, high-risk antepartum and postpartum care, and Cesarean birth capabilities
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour orientation provided; scrubs provided by facility
• Float capability required to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years preferred
• Documented experience in high-volume birthing centers with 300+ births per month
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP
• Competency in circulating for Cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in similar high-volume settings
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
