TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Spokane, Washington, 99204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRPS Must-Have: Experience with high-risk antepartum care, labor management, and maternal emergencies Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Experience in high-risk labor and delivery is required. The expected patient ratios are 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum. Weekends are required with some weekend shifts. The nurse will float between various units as needed. On-call duties are not required. The candidate must be able to handle acute care high-risk scenarios, including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and vaginal birth after cesarean. The role includes assisting with labor management, induction, augmentation, and responding to maternal emergencies. A strong background in high-volume facility births is preferred. Skills required include administration of medications, monitoring fetal statuses, and assistance during deliveries. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Additional responsibilities include discharge teaching and support for breastfeeding. The nurse will also perform clinical assessments and document patient care using an electronic health record system. The candidate should be comfortable with various procedures and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ability to float to nearby facilities may be required. Flexibility regarding scheduling and holiday coverage is essential.
