Description:
Local candidates may apply at the same rate.
Permanent candidates from other facilities may be eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months.
All facilities honor active compact licenses.
Candidates without a minimum of 3-5 years of experience will not be considered.
Current supervisory references are mandatory.
Proof of required certifications must be provided with submission.
Candidates must pass clinical review.
Experience in a high-risk environment is highly preferred, but candidates with 3 years of high-risk experience will be considered.
First-time applicants are accepted.
Pre-approved time off will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Candidates are required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Floating is required to other units as necessary.
Patient demographics include midwifery clients, private OBs, and services supporting substance recovery.
Candidates will utilize electronic fetal monitoring.
Experience is valued, and staffing will follow established guidelines.
The unit deals with high-risk and high-volume labor and delivery cases, including various procedures.
Candidates will function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care until transfer to postpartum.
Candidates must be able to circulate and provide newborn care, including administration of vitamin K and assessments.
The average daily census is approximately 15 with 500-600 deliveries per month.
The unit has 31 rooms and beds.
The schedule is posted every six weeks to meet unit needs.
Preferred certifications include ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate.
Candidates should have experience with newborn assessment, neonatal resuscitation, and management of high-risk deliveries.
Travelers may be expected to float between facilities.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
